The Kid K’NEX junior construction range has today been revealed as a winner in the Early Years Excellence Awards, having been granted a 4* rating in the Creative Resource category by a panel of expert judges.
Over 300 products, services and publications were nominated for the awards, run by Teach Early Years Magazine, and whittled down to a 65-strong shortlist of finalists in March. An expert panel of early years leaders, consultants and authors then selected just 38 winners, including Kid K’NEX, across a variety of categories.
Kid K’NEX introduces construction play to children aged 3+, supporting their cognitive development with sets that feature chunky, brightly coloured pieces. This year the line will be refreshed with new items including animal and wheel inspired sets, plus the Kid K’NEX Budding Builders Tub with 100 pieces and 50 building ideas.

A West Berkshire school has been announced as the first winner of our competition, which gives schools the chance to win £250 worth of K’NEX Education construction kits every month!
Brimpton Primary School was entered into the competition by teacher Caroline Martin, who says: “I was so pleased to hear that we had won the K’NEX Education kits, as I have a particular passion for science and engineering! On Friday 17th March, K’NEX Education joined forces with Reading College to get local primary school pupils excited about STEAM skills.
A range of K’NEX Education builds, including roller coasters and ferris wheels, were showcased and a play table allowed more than 100 children to create their own builds using their STEAMaginations!
It was great to meet so many future STEAM stars and to display some brilliant builds made by current Reading College students, including some fancy fascinators made by design students using K’NEX.

We visited The Big Bang Fair 2017 and loved seeing K’NEX creations on so many stands. These brilliant builds helped to bring STEAM learning to life for pupils visiting from all across the UK!
K’NEX Education has teamed up this year with THORPE PARK Resort to launch a brand new Science Workshop. This fun, interactive experience offers pupils the chance to explore the science behind rollercoasters using the K’NEX Education’s STEAM inspired construction kits. After the 3D learning workshop, which incorporates hands-on learning with the science curriculum, pupils explore the theme park to witness this science coming to life!
